Thanksgiving and more

Norah is growing so fast. She holds her head up by herself, smiles, and tries to talk to you. She is also sleeping through the night! She was diagnosed with reflux so she is on some meds and new formula to help out. We have her 2 month check up next week and we are sure she is in the 11 pound range. Not looking forward to the shots :( Happy Holidays!!!

Just Waiting...38 Weeks

We had an appointment last week and nothing had changed regarding my progress. Still 2 cm's and more than 50% effaced. The doctor said its just a waiting game for now. I have another appointment on Tuesday where we'll hopefully set up a plan for Norah to arrive. I will keep you all posted. Sleep is definitely very unfamiliar for me at this point and we are anxious for these contractions to start coming!!! We'll keep you posted. Keep us in your prayers as the due date quickly approaches :)

I Passed!

I finally passed a test for once...negative on my Bstrep test! We had an ultrasound on Monday to look at Norah's size. We were a little nervous that she would be extremely big because of the diabetes but we were relieved to hear that she is 6 pounds 11 ounces. Although this is on the high side of the average (65th percentile), she is still not too big but not too small. My fluids looked great and she was all smashed down in my pelvis just waiting for her time to meet us. They couldnt tell us her length because of the lack of space but her femur measured average - not on the tall side (so maybe mommy's genes?). She was being a stinker though by keeping her arm in front of her face the entire time. I asked if it was stuck and the nurse laughed and said that she was just being shy. We did get a quick glimpse of the chubby cheeks and the nurse said that she has a lot of hair!!!! We are so excited to meet Norah and cant wait for the big day. I had a checkup today and I am still 2 cm so its just a waiting game. Here are a few pics...sorry about the quality but soon enough you will get to see her in person :)

She looks so scrunched!!!!

Its Almost Time!!! 36 Weeks

WOW! I had a doctor's appointment on Thursday for my B Strep Test. She decided that she would just check me because I complained about having some "pressure" down there. 2 weeks ago, when she checked, I was not dilated but my cervix was soft. She looked at me and said "huh....you are a good 2 centimiters dilated and 50% effaced." She could easily feel her head and said she was pretty low. So my body is preparing to have Norah a little earlier than planned. She said that this is nothing to worry about as she is confident Norah is a good size, etc. I know some people are dilated like this for weeks but she said to prepare just in case. I packed my bag and DeWayne is always on stand-by. Although I feel similar to a whale, I still feel pretty good. Spurts of energy but tired a lot. Norah is still VERY active and is practicing her soccer skills. Blood pressure is perfect and her heart beat is always on the healthy high side (she's a mover!). I gained another half pound so doing well. I have another appointment Wednesday unless I go into labor and an ultrasound on Monday. Keep us in your thoughts!!! Not too much longer until our miracle is finally here!

Baby Shower #2 and 34 Weeks

OB appointment went well today. My belly is measuring exactly 34 weeks so that is good news. I gained one pound and blood pressure and her heartbeat were perfect. The ultrasound is scheduled for October 1st to see her size! Cant wait! Here are a few pics from the wonderful shower that my mom and sisters threw for us. I also included a belly pic (WOW!) and a picture of her closet (she is so spoiled!!). Please keep us in your prayers.
